![]() ![]() They have many other homemade syrup options as well. ![]() It has huge open windows and ample sunlight coming in – all the sunlight definitely helped motivate me! They have plenty of seating and outlets – something that is surprisingly hard to come by in a lot of Austin coffee shops. I visited West Pecan a few times because I really loved it. My favorite drink was an iced latte with their house made cinnamon brown sugar syrup. The coffee shop is decorated beautifully. I was so excited that there was somewhere close to home other than Starbucks that I could hang out and work at! They have a huge parking lot which is perfect. West Pecan is a coffee shop that opened up just a few blocks away from where I lived for the summer. I probably could have drank a gallon of Iced Irene’s Original! I’d drive 40 minutes downtown any day just to get another one. I love sweet iced drinks and this hit the spot. The Iced Irene’s Original exceeded every expectation I had. Let me tell you, it was seriously amazing. I had been searching all over Austin for a butterscotch flavored coffee, and I heard this has a slight butterscotch taste – I was pumped to try it. I heard it was a must-try drink in Austin and people were raving about it on Yelp. I tried the Irene’s Original Iced drink to see what it was all about. They have a really inviting outdoor seating area and this super cute ivy wall that is great for Instagram pictures. They have a few parking meters in front of the building, but parking can be a little tricky. From what I’ve heard they have some awesome deals on alcoholic drinks too, so Irene’s would be a great place to visit not just for coffee with friends, but also for drinks with your girls! It’s located in the heart of downtown. Irene’s is actually a restaurant, but they also have a walk up coffee bar window outside that is open super late every night. From what I took in over the summer, this is one of the most popular coffee shops in Austin! I think this would be a great place to spend an afternoon working or chatting with friends. I don’t usually like fruity-type drinks, but I was pleasantly surprised with the blackberry vanilla syrup. It was a perfect combination of coffee and sweetness! Seventh Flag also offers other syrups options and a menu of basic coffee drinks like lattes and cappuccinos. I have never tried anything quite like it. An employee recommended their signature blackberry vanilla syrup that they make in-house (I think this is seasonal) – so I got an iced latte with it. I really love the minimal decor inside, it reminds me of my own house! There’s not a ton of working space indoors, but they have a great shaded patio if you like to work outside. They also sell some some really cool merchandise. They have free parking available in a parking lot behind the building which is something that’s hard to find in Austin! It’s in a great location and sits only a few blocks away from South Congress. More Tea Shops. This coffee shop is so adorable – it’s inside an old house.
